PAOLO MOLINARI
I have a forestry/zoological education from the University of Padova. As a lynx expert, I coordinate SCALP in Italy as well as the Italian lynx project (Progetto Lince Italia), a project for the monitoring and conservation of the lynx in Italy, based at the University of Torino. My major interests are conservation concepts and the management of conflicts caused by large carnivores, most of all their impact on the prey species. Other priorities lie on the brown bear, the wolf, and the three smaller carnivores – wildcat, otter and golden jackal. I am the author of several books and countless articles on the subject of large carnivores. Further duties lie in the education and training of foresters, hunters, conservation bodies and hunting planning. I have been with KORA since 1995, and am also currently on the board of the association KORA.
