KORA

Identification

Most of the endemic carnivores are predominantly nocturnal and cryptic. Direct sight observations occur, but are rare.

Common indications of the presence of wild animals include tracks in the snow or mud or loose soil, remains of kills and scats. If these signs are correctly interpreted and reported, then such findings and observations are of high importance for our work.

Here you can find practical information for the identification of carnivore field signs.
